Creating connection between an Internal Logical File ILF and an External Interface File EIF in a Function Point Modeler Diagram

You must have a Function Point Modeler diagram open. By default, the Palette view opens when you are editing Function Point Modeler Diagram file in Function Point Modeler.

You can use a Function Point Modeler diagram to create connections between an Internal Logical File (ILF) and an External Interface File (EIF).

To create an actor und sub system connection:

  1. In the diagram editor, in the Palette, click a FPM Connections.
  2. Click a ILF > EIF .
  3. Move the mouse to an Logical File (source) (ILF) in the diagram
  4. Click the Logical File (source) (ILF) and drag to a target Logical File (EIF) in another application system.
  5. Release the mouse button.
