In the Workbench window's toolbar, activate the drop-down menu on the New Wizard button 
and select 
File >New > Functionpoint Project. To activate the drop-down menu simply click on the down arrow.
In the Project name field, type your name as the name of your new project. Do not use spaces or special characters in the project name (for example, "MyFirstCount").
Leave the box checked to use the default location for your new project. Click Next when you are done.
